This was a great year. Hosting the 10th Annual ZINEmercado at the Hairpin Art Center felt like both a milestone and a homecoming. Walking into that space for the first time, I felt the energy shift — the tall windows, the building's history, and the way it seemed to hold so many conversations and exchanges at once.
Over the years, ZINEmercado has grown from a small gathering into a community anchor, and this edition really made that clear. Friends, collaborators, and new faces filled the room with work that was inventive, urgent, and generous. I was reminded why we started this fair in the first place: to create a space for sharing, connecting, and sustaining one another through print.
Ten years in, it feels less like looking back and more like building forward.
